ROSEBUD

Armchairs

Description

Rosebud is the last word spoken by the protagonist in Citizen Kane (Quarto Potere), a term that, beyond its literal meaning of “rosebud,” symbolizes an unfulfilled promise, an alternative never realized. This sculptural piece plays with fleeting contrasts of light and shadow, where its sinuous surfaces dissolve into continuous curves. Rosebud’s form is powerful yet gentle, its flowing softness echoing subtle Art Deco accents. The collection consists of a compact yet structurally solid armchair, and its smaller sibling, a light and poised chair. The chair’s versatility allows it to integrate seamlessly into various settings, from dining areas to lounges to home offices. Both pieces share an immediate visual sense of comfort, composed of two seamlessly fused elements that create a unified whole. Despite their constant curvature and plush feel, the surfaces remain taut and sculpted, with no visible upholstery folds, evoking youthful, vigorous contours. This organic volumetric design gives both the armchair and chair a distinctively friendly presence, allowing them to take center stage in both domestic and hospitality spaces, effortlessly bridging comfort and elegance.
