Rosebud

Chairs and Poufs

Description

Rosebud is the last word uttered by the protagonist of Citizen Kane (Quarto Potere), a term that, beyond its literal meaning of “rosebud,” symbolizes an unfulfilled promise, an unrealized alternative. This sculptural volume, defined by fleeting chiaroscuro contrasts, is shaped by elongated shadows, where its sinuous surfaces seamlessly dissolve into continuous curves. Rosebud possesses a muscular presence, yet remains gentle, its flowing softness evoking Art Deco influences. The collection consists of a compact yet structurally grounded armchair, accompanied by its smaller sibling, a poised and lightweight chair. Thanks to its versatile nature, the chair integrates effortlessly into dining areas, lounges, or home offices. Both pieces share an immediate visual sense of comfort, defined by two seamlessly fused elements, creating a singular and cohesive form. Despite their constant curvature and plush feel, the surfaces retain a taut, full appearance, with no visible upholstery folds, recalling youthful, sculptural harmonies brimming with vitality. With its organically inspired volume, Rosebud exudes an inviting, approachable aesthetic, making both the armchair and chair true protagonists in domestic interiors as well as hospitality spaces, seamlessly blending comfort with a refined, artistic presence.
